Decades of struggle by workers and their unions have resulted in significant improvements in working conditions. But the toll of workplace injuries, illnesses and deaths remains enormous. from Lizzard Ball:
Y'see. Way back in the year 1977 there was this HUGE Blizzard here in Buffalo. They even made a board game out of it. It was on the news a lot. But the people in Buffalo wanted to show the world that they were undaunted. So they decided to have a big party to celebrate the Blizzard. It was called the Blizzard Ball and it was a big deal galla event with men in black ties and tuxedos and all of that crappity crap. And it cost a LOT of money to go to it.
