Bluff and Streamside Do's and Don'ts
Location(s)
This workshop will focus on Best Management Practices, (BMPs), for property owners along the Lake Erie bluffs and nearby tributaries. One workshop will focus on east county sites and the other on west county sites. Morning ‘classroom’ sessions will take place at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center. Afternoon tours will include sites along the
coastal zone that best illustrate good and poor management techniques with the goal of informing property owners of more sustainable methods of protecting their own property. This education effort will result in a better understanding of soil and sediment erosion issues and introduce property owners to the concept of BMPs.
