Healthy Lakes, Healthy Lives Festival
part of the Healthy Lakes, Healthy Lives Tour events
June 12 - 15, 2008
For the first time, Erie will be host to the Earth Voyager as she sets sail on a national sailing tour to raise awareness for the Great Lakes; its preservation and restoration. The Lake Erie Region Conservancy and the Bayfront Center for Maritime Studies, both celebrating their 10th Anniversaries, are welcoming the Earth Voyager, a 60-foot Formula 60 trimaran to Erie on June 12.
We have a weekend full of activities. Please see the agenda below:
June 12 – 11:00 a.m. Press conference with the Earth Voyager and crew at the Bayfront Center for Maritime Studies
June 13 – 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. VIP Reception at the Bayfront Center for Maritime Studies. You’ll hear from the crew of the Earth Voyager regarding the mission of Healthy Lakes Healthy Lives Tour, local political and community leaders will be present.
Hors d’oeuvres and Cocktails will be served.

June 14 – Healthy Lakes, Healthy Lives Tour Festival – OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Noon to 7:00 p.m.
Join us at the Bayfront Center for Maritime Studies (behind the Blasco Memorial Library) for activities of all ages. Fun for kids and adults, learn about the Earth Voyager, listen to music and eat!
Rain or shine! (Vendors and displays will move inside if the weather is inclement)
June 15 – 1:00 p.m. Escort flotilla for the Earth Voyager as she set’s sail for her next port on the Healthy Lakes Healthy Lives Tour.
