FRI., JUNE 20, 7 P.M. -- Watson-Curtze Mansion, 356 W. Sixth St. -- historian David Dixon will discuss Eric Foner and Joshua Brown's Forever Free: The Story of Emancipation and Reconstruction. [2]

Elizabeth Waters and Hamilton Waters (played by Adrianne Rush, John Johnson) will share stories, insights. free and open to public.

SAT., JUNE 21 -- St. James AME Church, 236 E. 11th St. -

10 a.m. Workshops on racist words and genealogy by Adrianne Rush, John Johnson; free, open to public.

Noon - Lunch presented by History Never Tasted so Good, $7.50 for lunch, family rate availabl.

12:30 p.m. "Celebrating the Gift of Life," St., June 21, at St. James AME Church. Call 814-746-5905 for reservations.costumed interpreters, poetry, dramatic readings, interpretive dance by Zonya Flemings, spoken word by Carla Johnson, music by the Rev. In honor of Juneteenth (June 19th), the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, the Pennsylvania Tourism Office and the Pennsylvania Humanities Council are encouraging participation in the Quest for Freedom Live and Learn Weekend, June 20 and 21.
